Back to the Care Net Team
Prior to joining Care Net, Vincent spent 12 years with National Fatherhood Initiative, leading the organization’s efforts to be at the forefront of the public dialogue on fatherhood and family issues. In the area of public relations, he secured and crafted messages for appearances in the nation’s most recognized media outlets, including the Oprah Winfrey Show, Fox News Channel, CNN, USA Today, and the Washington Post. Vincent also led the organization’s efforts to craft public education campaigns to educate and inspire the nation about the importance of responsible fatherhood. Moreover, he successfully led the organization’s transition from using traditional media as its primary means of communication to using Web 2.0 and social media vehicles.
In the area of government relations, Vincent worked to keep our nation’s elected leaders informed of the latest research and initiatives on fatherhood, and turned that education into action by helping move legislation forward that provided federal funding for fatherhood programs.
Vincent also sought out, formed, and managed relationships with a variety of for- and non-profit organizations – such as 20th Century Fox, Disney, and Dove Men+Care – that became strategic partners in NFI’s efforts to influence the culture through popular media.
Vincent received his BA from The College of New Jersey and his MA in Communication from Johns Hopkins University, where he now teaches as an adjunct communication professor. Vincent and his wife Claudia live in Maryland and have two sons, Vincent and Gabriel.
